Catalunya – Building company wins planning appeal to build 100 room brothel

A ruling from the Superior Tribunal de Justicia de Catalunya requires the City of La Jonquera (Girona) grant planning permission to the developers of a hostess club, with a hundred rooms. The project was stalled in 2006 as at the time the local council said it would generate traffic and safety problems.

The promoters of this club, the company Vimetera SL, then appealed to the court of administrative law number 2 of Girona, which ruled against them, so they turned to the TSJC, who has now given reason for considering that the project complies with the law, and obliges the municipality of La Jonquera to license the company within fifteen days, according to law.

Despite the ruling, the mayor of La Jonquera, Jordi Cabezas, said they will try to find another way to try to prevent the club from opening its doors, while he recalled that the future manager of the brothel, is charged for trafficking.
