Salobreña are running a competition for short films made with mobile equipment, “Short-minute.”
The Black Film Shows I, are to be held in Salobreña from 6 to March 10, 2012.
The winner and a cash prize, will receive a scholarship to a filmmaking workshop.
As explained the Councillor for Culture, Antonio Rabaneda, “the purpose of the competition is to provide participants the opportunity to showcase their talent by taking advantage of technologies that allow information and communication.” Each contestant can submit up to three short films and the theme will be “Problems of the youth of today”, provided it is within the short film genre called “Black Film”.
The film will be original, in Castilian, with a maximum of 1 minute and 20 seconds, including the credits, if any, and recorded at the highest resolution and quality. The films presented can only be recorded with mobile communication terminals (mobile phone, PDA, iPhone …). Subsequently, if desired, can be edited with external tools.
Registration is completed online through the web www.mucinesa.es. The film will be uploaded to a server type file hosting Rapidshare (www.rapidshare.com) or similar and attach the resulting URL through the registration form on the same website.
All participants must complete the registration form which is available on the website www.mucinesa.es. All fields must be completed, and if any of them are not filled properly, the organization reserves the right to void the participant or group. The deadline for submitting applications is 17 February 2012.
The finalists are viewed during the Show and the winner gets a prize of 1,000 euros, a trophy and a scholarship to film workshop to be created in Salobreña
