Building work cuts Telefónica fibre optic cable

The accidental severing of a Telefónica fibre optic cable in Vera, Almería, left Almería city and the Almanzora region without fixed phone lines and internet on Wednesday.
Building work severed the underground cable and led to the break in service at 3pm. The same problem had knock on effects in Melilla and in the coastal areas of Motril and Salobreña in Granada.
