This section connects La Herradura with Taramay
The long-awaited La Herradura to Taramay stretch of the A-7 Autovía del Mediterráneo is set to open next Tuesday, 28th July, Ideal newspaper reports, quoting sources close to the company contracted for its construction.
The paper says the Development Minister, José Blanco, will be there for the ceremony on Tuesday afternoon.
It’s a 9.1 km stretch of road which the Minister promised earlier this year would be completed by the end of this month. Bypassing Almuñécar, it’s hoped its inauguration will see the end of one of the traffic black spots which cause lengthy delays on the N-340 coast road during the summer months.
