Other Travel options
You can take bus services from Malaga that will connect you to Orgiva other villages in the Alpujarras Mountains. The nearest railways stations are situated in Malaga and Granada from where you can travel to the bus station and take a bus. It will take you around 3hours to reach Orgiva from Malaga by bus. Alternatively, you can hire a car and drive down on the N340 along the beautiful coastline with some of the most splendid views of the Costa Tropical.

Places to See/Activities
It is one of those Costa Tropical towns where life seems to have come to a standstill. You will still find the winding streets from the medieval ages lined with white-washed houses. Each of these streets will take you higher up of the mountain and take you to the main church in the town and the Ayuntamiento, which is situated at the center of the town. There is an imposing chirch from the 18th century that stands as the lone reminder of Molvizar’s illustrious and historical past. The church is known as la iglesia de Santa Ana. You can also take morning walks as well as enjoy some bird watching treks up and across the mountains.

Some of the closest towns to Molvizar include Lobres at 4.3 km, Itrabo at 3.0 km, La Caleta-Guardia at 4.9 km, Monte De Los Almendros at 4.6 km, El Caletón at 5.2 km, and Urbanización Costa Aguilera at 5.0 km. Since Molvizar is situated in the Lecrin valley in Andalucia, it offers some spectacular sights and miles and miles of lush vegetation. There are not too many activities available but this town seems to have been built for just one thing: pure relaxation!

Nightlife
The nightlife in Molvizar is nothing but “low key” especially when compared to the nightlife in the bigger towns of Costa Tropical but there are a selection of bars and restaurants available.

Weather
Molvizar experiences a beautiful weather with the summers temperatures soaring from may to September. The temperature hovers between 22c and 26c in the summers. The winter temperature hovers around 14C and lasts from November to March. There is practically no rainfall in the summers in this part of Spain and the maximum rainfall takes place in the winters with the maximum being 76mm in November.
