Castell De Ferro: A Small beach by the Mighty Mediterranean

Castell De Ferro is situated in the southern part of Andalucia and has some really nice beaches. It enjoys a sub-tropical weather and this part of the Costa Tropical coastline is dotted with coves, small beaches, marinas and magnificent straight cliffs. It is situated between Calahonda and La Rabita and right on the Mediterranean coast.

    Airport: Malaga Airport, Granada Airport and Almeria Airport

    Castell De Ferro is around 80 miles from Malaga airport, which is served by flights from other parts of Spain as well as the world. You can take a bus or taxi from here to the Malaga bus station and then take another bus or taxi to Castell De Ferro. Alternatively, you can drive down, which will present you with some of the most spectacular landscapes, pleasant sights and an opportunity to capture some of the most beautiful memories in your camera.

    Places to See/Activities

    The town square is one of the most important places in Castell De Ferro where you will definitely lose a sense of time. You will find everything from international and Spanish restaurants to lively bars. There are 3 supermarkets, and a promenade that offers an eventful evening walk. If you are looking for some adventure then you can go aqua diving or just take a boat out and sail into the sunset. You can also play golf at the Los Moriscos Golf course in Motril or walk the historical path to the castle of De Ferro. This is a small fishing town but one of the best places for a nice and quite holiday in Costa Tropical.

    Beaches

    The beaches in Castell De Ferro are quite different from the other beaches in Costa Tropical. The beaches are small in size with the maximum being 1km long and most of them are made up of shale. But it is the crystal clear blue water that kisses the shore gently, which attracts locals and tourists apart from the tranquility.

    Nightlife

    The night life is Castell De Ferro is subtle but there are some good restaurants that will offer you a mouthwatering menu and follow it up with some old-fashioned jazz at the bars. The bars are open past midnight and you can have an intoxicating time and there is the disco Molino and discopub Bajamar on the beach for some late night dancing.

    Weather

    Castell De Ferro weather is warm although the average temperature here will never hit the roof. The average temperature is around 200c. When the temperatures are freezing in the rest of Spain, the temperatures in Castell De Ferro are perfect for a swim in the Mediterranean.
