How to get around the Costa Tropical

The Public Transport in Costa Tropical, Andalucía is quite good and can be compared to some of the best holiday destinations in Europe. One of the main reasons for a good public transport system is the changes that have taken place in Spain in the last two decades. The various modes of public transport to Costa Tropical from anywhere in Spain include: Air transport: Today there are direct flights to the Granada airport from where you can travel to other parts of Andalucía. There was a time when the airport catered only to domestic flights but now you can reach from international locations in Europe as well.

Ryanair, one of the local airlines has regular flights between UK and Granada while Vueling Airlines can connect you from Granada to some of the important cities in Europe like Paris, Barcelona, and Rome. In fact, according to a 2007 report, the number of tourists who transited to and from the Granada airport was over 1 million.
You can also fly down from Madrid. But it is often advised to avoid the Madrid airport if you are carrying luggage as they are not good at coordinating luggage according to the flights.
If you are travelling from the UK to Granada, then you can take the following flights:
    1. From London Stansted via Ryanair: Flights operate on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
    2. From Liverpool via Ryanair: Flights operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
    3. From East Midlands via Ryanair: Flights operate on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Bus Services: There are local bus services from different cities in Spain to Granada or Costa Tropical. Most of the bus services start from 0600a.m and run past midnight.
By Car: Spain has some of the best road network in the world and is stretched over 150,000 km. There are several motorways that run from north to south, and the speed limit is around 130 km/h on the motorways, and 90 km/h on other roads. You need to have a valid international driving license and insurance to hire or rent a car.
Renting a car: Driving is a pleasure in the regions of Costa Tropical as the traffic on the countryside is much lesser than in the town. You will come across some of the most spectacular views while driving down to the Andalucian coastline. You can hire a car from Madrid or Granada at low rental rates. In fact, the rental rates are the lowest in Europe and you will find the rental cars in extremely good condition. The accepted mode of payment is through your credit card. Payment by cash is not acceptable in most of the car rental agencies. For hiring a car, you will need to show your passport and a driver’s license that is valid in Spain. There are quite a few car rentals in the Costa Tropical area and in Granada to choose from like:
    1. Tiger Car Rental
    2. Amigo Autos
    3. Car Hire Granada
    4. Helle Hollis
    5. CarRentals.co.uk
