Albunol: The Historical Town

Albunol in Costa Tropical is presumed to have been a Roman dominated region. The architecture of this town in Andalucia is a mix of Moorish and Roman. Albunol was once considered as the most important town of the great coast or the great Cehel. These were the times when the town of Albunol was guarded by the La Rabita castle. Around the 16th century, the town of Albunol was bought by Luis Zapata Portocarrero from Queen Juana of the royal family.
